Roof and Eves

The finishing touch on the roof welding is done and it's time to add the roof eves before the roof tiles can be put on. The eves is made of "conwood",a wood-like fiber concrete material that later will be painted so it will looks like tree. Finishing touch with the black paint. Roof eves

Soon it will look like a house

The work goes on, it start to look like a house. Today the roof tile team was visiting again, they need to measure the roof again so that right amount of roof-tiles will be ordered. I hope they start soon.

Frames almost ready

It took many days to mount the frames, but now they are almost ready. The only one left is the the small window frame in the storage room. All frames are carefully fixed and will get concrete around. The frames will let the windows and doors work without problems for many years - so a lot of time is spent here. These frams will host foldable doors between the back outside area and  the Thai kitchen (left) and dinner area (front). Thai kitchen windows The living room windows. 6 windows in front and four on the right.  On the left side you see some parts of the entrance. The entrance will have two doos and lights on both sides. Left: 4 windows between the living and dining room, 6 windows in the dining room to the right. This picture shows the view from the dining room.  Folding doors on the left, door to the Thai kitchen on the right

Bedroom window frame assembly

Today the first of the 8-window frames was assembled. Four persons was collaborating to get it in place in the right way. It will be a nice view from the bedroom.

Frames arrives

Today the window and door frames arrived. The brick laying of the walls was halted and could not continue until the frames are in place. The frames are made of a hard wood called "Täng" (it pronounces like this in Thai). The workers started to prepare them immidiate they arrived. I added a picture on the concrete work on the entrance here too

The brick-laying continues

There are good progress on the walls, look here... The small red bricks are always used in bathrooms.  As usual, when you have to be exact a female is doing it. They use concrete lintels to make the walls stable and durable.  Exactly as in the brick-laying guide books. The Thai kitchen walls. Very stable. This bathroom walls needs a lot of bricks. Lintel time.. Even if it is called "lightweight" the bricks has to be transported to up to the first floor. Up in the air First floor over the stairs and part of the bedroom walls. Lintels..

More pictures on the sewage

The workers have been doing a great job with the waste water part for some days now. I here share some pictures This is the plan for the pipes going to the community sewage In real, very big pipes. I guess I can hook up a multi-family house to this pipes too. The 1600L sewage tank from the toilets on a concrete platform. Soon filled up with soil. The tank was filled with water before the filling started. All to keep it in shape and place. From the top. The pipes going directly to the sewage pipes comes from the sinks and not from the toilet. More pipework Tank will soon disappear, only a pipe if we needs to get rid of the content in the future. Last inspection place before the community connection. It will soon be hidden by the soil. Connected and ready. The only thing needed no is the lid. This is the welded frames that will be used in the construction of the lids to the sewage inspection holes. I will show...
