READY!

I guess this will be the last post in this blog now when the house is ready.

We moved in 1:st of October. All furniture was not in place but the bedroom and kitchen was functional and we needed some days to clean out everything from our rented house before giving the keys back, the deadline here was October 6.

I will post some pictures below, some will maybe look a little messy due to the furniture chaos.  - Thanks to the labor, I have received about 7000 pictures from the building process. Then I have taken some myself when I have visited.

The resting are (under the master bedroom) have got some tiles too. We still need some furniture and flowers here to make it ready.

Entrance rails.

From the resting area.

Entrance

The grass in front of the house. Some trees in place and the gate open.

More of the front.

It was a very good idea to put the blocks in the grass to make a road to the back. We didn't have any problems driving to the back now in the rainy season. Without the blocks it shouldn't had worked.

Front of the house - there will be more bushes and flowers where the two small one is placed later on.

Parking and grass road.

Just the house.

Parking. and gate. We have another kind of grass between the parking and the fence (Malaysian grass or something) due to the shade. I do not like it so much, so I think we will remove that and replace with small stones or outside tiles later on.

Outside from the street.

More from the outside

and again..

Upstairs to the bedrooms

Walk in closet to the master bathroom from the master bedroom. IKEA wardrobes on both sides.

Master bedroom. The legs on the bed is a little too high, so Ang has to jump up to the bed. We will replace them with lower ones.

Windows in the guest bedroom. They will have curtains in some days so our guests doesn't wake up too early.

Guest bedroom. The sofa easily transforms to an extra double bed.

Guest bathroom.

Backside with the deck.

A panorama picture of the side and back.

One of our trees died, the rest looks quite OK.

The fence from the front.

A papaya tree in the fruit garden at the back. Someone must have dropped some papaya seeds here some months ago.

In the back of our garden we have a bush of bamboo. This time of the year they will have a lot of shoots. I can just say that fresh bamboo shoots is delicious.

High cabinet part of the Thai kitchen.

Thai kitchen from the deck.

Gas stove in the kitchen. The cabinet fronts needs some more adjustments...
The counter top was bought from IKEA. It's Birch tree that I put 7 layers of tree varnish on, so it will stand water very well now.

Back deck. Table where we can have up to eight chairs.

Sink and a lot more things....

Dining area. Curtains are not really fixed yet.

Living room area.

Again. I like the bean sack - popular many years ago.

Inside the entrance we have the Buddhist "temple". If you look closely, you can find a photo of me there too, I was a little bit younger then.

Dining and out to the deck.

Guest bathroom

I found some nice palms to the front resting area.

..and some more palms

A view from the resting area. I hope I can afford a pool here later on.

Starting to be more plants on the front. Not ready yet.
I have looked at the "beard"-palm many times before we bought it.

The "Golden Penda" have got some friends - same family, different color.

Starting to populate the laundry.

More papaya tree in the garden. New flowers and fruits all the time.

I also found an avocado tree to plant. I guess I have to wait a couple of years before I get any avocados.

Blueprint

The first version of the blueprint. About half of the house is one floor, the bedrooms are raised as a second floor with mostly open areas below (laundry and outdoor relax area). I guess there will be some small changes here and there during the building process, but in general this is the house. Even if it looks like that, we will not have any cars under the bedroom.
