Assorted pictures from August 23, 2018

The days the builder are here the amount of pictures increase dramatically.
I will show some of the pictures he took today. They shows that the house is still finished.


We need a rolling gate in the front. The hardware and blueprints arrived today.

We like the fence. So does the builder.

We are asked to add notes where we think the painters (or sometimes others) have to fix things.

Thai kitchen will be ready when I arrive in Thailand next time.

Stair on the back is ready, still wet!

Deck to dining room doors and floor are ready. 

White stones in the blocks between entrance and relax area. No flowers here yet.

The famous building inspector (Ang) is checking the paint job.

The temporary electrical wires needs to be removed now. The cables to the house are digged down.

Roof - Part 2

The roof took three days. The put tiles both on the high roof and most part on the lower roof. They decided to wait with the part that is between the big and low part because the plastering work on the high wall could make the tiles very dirty and difficult to clean after. Another solution should have been covering the part, but that was not an option - they are the experts, so it's just to lean back and let them do what they want. Lats and lifting tiles. Some parts done Under the high roof Notice the security hooks and helmets (not?). Low roof Most ready now. The team will now wait for the plastering work on the outer walls on the high part and then its time to finishing up.

Arrival of the roof tiles

The roof tiles arrived today at 06.00 in the morning. No pallet, it looked like they have unloaded the truck manually. They delivered over 4000 tiles! One of the three piles of tiles delivered. Some broken due to the bad handling. Lintels in aluminum to hold the roof tiles. More lintels
